Kai Song is an ex-Mckinsey London consultant currently working in an early stage edtech startup. She is passionate about education access, and has previously founded CollegeLAH, led a pro bono consulting project for Teach for Malaysia and volunteered with Myanmar refugee education centres.

Kaveen studies Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics at the University of Warwick, UK. In 2020, he co-led Teh Ais-O-Late, a youth virtual music night that raised RM 30,000 to purchase COVID-19 test kits for Malaysia. He is passionate about empowering youth and education equality.

Wen Wen is a research associate at J-PAL North America, an economics research center based at MIT. She’s passionate about evidence-based policymaking for poverty alleviation. She previously started CollegeLAH, led a pro bono consulting project for Teach for Malaysia, and has experience tutoring refugee children.

Esther was an M&A consultant in Strategy& London before her current role as a Corporate Strategy Manager at Visa Europe. She is passionate in addressing access and equity in education systems and was part of a pro-bono microfinance initiative and a volunteer tutor to refugee children.

Venecia studies Actuarial Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK. She believes everyone should be given a chance to stand on equal footing for education, and has previously started The Launchpad, an initiative to provide support for Malaysian students in their pursuit of tertiary education in the UK.

Winfrey studies Data Science at the University of California, San Diego. As a data science enthusiast, she aspires to apply Data Science knowledge in the field of education to address inequality issues and close education gaps.

Samantha is studying Medicinal Chemistry at Monash University Malaysia. In 2020, she joined a nationwide policy-making programme that allowed her to learn, understand and ideate solutions for education access and equality in Malaysia. She gained a passion to pay her value forward and empower youths in Malaysia.

Pei Xien studies History, Politics and Economics at University College London. She has taught both refugee and underprivileged students. Most recently, she worked at FrogAsia, an education consultancy firm, creating free lessons based on the Malaysian syllabus to decrease the education gap presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jia Wie is an Accounting and Finance graduate from Sunway University and is now working in Teleport, a logistics venture under airasia. She was involved in social projects that addressed various issues, and hopes to continue utilising her privilege and knowledge to empower communities.

Rachel is a product manager at Instahome, a digital home rental startup. She is passionate about equality and economic empowerment. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she started MPower, a program to help micro F&B entrepreneurs digitise their businesses.

Wai Kin is a M&A lawyer at Rahmat Lim & Partners. He is passionate about building awareness of humanities amongst Malaysian students and has conducted several classes for secondary school students on topics relating to the fundamentals of the society, including contemporary political systems and theory of justice.

She is currently with Arts-ED to develop and coordinate community-based arts and creative education programmes.

Jie Yi is a full time small animal veterinarian at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Whilst she spends most of her time covered in fur, scratches, and poo, she would like to do what little she can to help underprivileged communities in Malaysia. She was previously involved in a programme tutoring students from rural areas of Sabah.

Jay Yen is a corporate treasury analyst at Maybank. He was previously the Perdana Fellow to the Prime Minister and has also led a pro bono consulting project for Teach for Malaysia. He believes that education is most important for the nation and everyone should be given equal education opportunity.

Ventus is an Aeronautical Engineering student at Imperial College London. He is passionate about promoting the quality of education for unprivileged communities.This also pushed him to tutor students from various ethnicities and backgrounds including students from Uganda and Australia.

Siew Jong used to volunteer in Sri Lanka to support children with learning difficulties and delivered English lessons to young people to promote English literacy in the community.

He is also the incoming chair for UCL Medical School’s internal studentship, which provides funding for students to pursue summer research projects.
